SEQUENCE (2011)
Sequence is a series of works about the complexity and importance of the most mundane tasks.
The project took several forms including an interactive audio creation tool, a dual channel video piece and an audio-visual installation.
The static depressive feel is gained through the randomization process, which deviates the focus from the structure of the piece. The lack of evolution reflects my pejorative view of our postmodern society. We've reached a point where the proletarian is stuck so deep in a pointless loop that he cannot even pay attention to its own actions (inactions).
The audio-visual installation was presented from April 16th 2011 to April 18th 2011 as part of the LUMIN exhibition at Eastern Bloc.
The dual channel video version of the piece won the Grand Prize at the Dérapage 11 non-narrative film festival.
